Fabric like tissue paper

The 1 star rating is for the vest, only. I want to stress that Backcountry’s customer care is 10 stars out of 5. Visually, this vest is out of my dreams. Looks like an 80s reproduction and I loved the color way. However the fabric is laughable. It came fully snapped. When I unsnapped it to try it on, a snap tore out immediately. This is because the fabric is as delicate and thin as tissue paper. But I was hopeful it was a one-off defect and exchanged it. I called customer care and tt Kyle, who’s a real one. He did a hassle free exchange for me and got me a replacement lightning quick. As soon as I took the replacement vest out of the packaging I could see this vest was just like the previous one, nearly see-through, extremely thin not-even-close-to-durable fabric. I didn’t even attempt to unsnap this one. It’s such a shame. I have other items from The Great (I was so pumped they started making outerwear!) and honestly can’t believe they would ok this. I’m not rough on my clothes in the slightest. I love shopping. I love my clothes. I don’t even loan them out bc I’m that careful with them. My sister has even made fun of me bc of how precious I am with them, meaning I wasn’t yanking the vest open. TL/DR: exceptionally terrible fabric that will immediately rip. If you do want to risk the quality, I will add this vest runs super large. I typically wear a medium. I got the small and could have easily worn an XS.

Lightweight but warm, pop of colors to add a funky & comfy look anywhere I go :) Vest runs a little big but it’s ok-it doesn’t look bulky and still hangs nice, also with the option of layering!
