Why We Like The Aconcagua 2 Hooded Jacket
The North Face's first Aconcagua already impressed us with lofty warmth worthy of yurt trips and winter walks through ski towns at night. Now back with even greater protection, the Men's Aconcagua 2 Hooded Jacket brings windproofing into the equation so you can stay out when the winds pick up. It still has the lofty down insulation mixed with synthetic insulation in key areas that would usually get damp in a snowstorm, as well as a DWR treatment to help shed moisture. The only difference is The North Face's WindWall shell for added windproofing.

First new winter jacket in 11 years
I purchased this jacket to replace my galaxy tri-climate jacket. I had wanted the 1996 Nuptse but it was too rich for my blood ;(. This jacket was the right price point for me. As a former Winnipeger I can tell you that for me this jacket(with a little layering) would get me through a -30 degree day. I will be purchasing the vest version of this jacket.

Great Jacket
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I was looking for a new Northface Jacket to replace my older puffer. Purchase this Acon 2. Warm enough for me. All I needed was good sweater underneath. Haven?t worn it on a snow day yet. We will see how it holds up.

Perfect for layering!
I'm 5'7 with a slim build and I picked up a size M hoping it would fit just snug for layering, and it was perfect. Worn in -10C weather so far and kept me warm!
