Why We Like The North Face Summit Chamlang Soft Shell Pant
When meeting the alpine's challenge, we're wearing The North Face Summit Chamlang Soft Shell Pant. The tough 4-way stretch lets us climb without restriction as it dulls cutting winds and sheds flash flurries. A soft-brushed interior helps us combat the dropping temp as we climb, while the internal bonded kickpatches resist snags and tears when it's time to break out the crampons.

Great tech pants with room for improvements on the cut
I got the Futurelight pants as soon as they came out and I loved them. This is my second pair and I am not totally sold. The pants are still very waterproof and breathable, which I love. However, I have some thoughts. 1. Not a fan of one front pocket instead of two 2. Bottom is way too tapered and barely fit over the snowboard boot unless you open the zipper. 3. said zipper is in the back so the only way to use these with StepOn bindings is to force the bottoms sideways I will use these skiing, but too much hassle to use them with my snowboard boots

Best ice climbing pant I found
I bought multiple soft shell pants with a brushed lining from multiple brands. These had the best fitting waist band (no low back gap), best fitting cuff over a modern ice boot, and a thigh pocket.
