If only looks counted for everything
I use this jacket mostly to run in the Minnesota winter, and for that it is fantastic in the wind and cold. However, it is not waterproof and should absolutely not cost as much as it does. I have worn it a few times in the rain/snow and it does not hold up to anything more than a light amount of precipitation. Bottom line? If you're looking for a waterproof running jacket, consider looking elsewhere where your money will go further.

Solid rain shell
I run quite a bit and bought this for ultra marathons. After a lot of research, I decided to give this material a try despite the cost. Honestly, I don't feel like it lives up the the marketing hype. With out a doubt the quality is excellent. There's small design details that I love like the cuffs on the sleeves, the blacked out labeling, and sleeve logo. As a membrane layer I honestly can't tell a difference between this and an old hyvent North face I own. Where I think they could improve is I really want armpit zippers to regulate moisture and heat when I run. Also, there's a pocket that the jacket can fold up into, but I found it's more of a " let's just randomly stuff this in here" sort of affair. I think it's possible to design a more methodical way to fold things to get it packed tighter. That's a big deal if you wanna stuff this in a hydration vest. The biggest advantage this jacket has is probably that it works to repel rain and it weighs nothing. The biggest drawback is the cost. Maybe I'm just poor but man that's a lot of money for a rain shell. Even if you're doing a 100 mile ultra. I feel like if they made this exact jacket in a cheaper membrane with armpit zippers for a smaller price then they'd make a killing.

Essential
Though expensive, and if you can make the purchase (thanks, Klarna), I feel like this is an essential piece you're running year-round in the mountains.

Great lightweight running rain jacket
Very light weight and folds up nicely for storage. Was not too hot when fully zipped and running. Really like the double zipper design
