Wrong Jacket
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
I was sent the wrong color jacket. I ordered the Black Summit Torre Egger, but I received the blue version of the jacket. I can't speak about the quality of the jacket, but it is annoying to have to pay to return the wrong item to Backcountry.

Expensive, but would recommend
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Super lightweight and water resistant, love the FL tech, but worried about durability.

Jacket holds promise, but needs some revisions
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this for a variety of outdoor activities, ranging from skiing to hiking and camping, but also for basic things like shoveling snow or dropping the kids off at school. The jacket is surprisingly warm given that it's a simple shell (I've skied a few times with nothing more than a t-shirt underneath and been completely comfortable). Reasonably lightweight, and the fabric feels relatively durable. Pit zips were a must for me; these work well but aren't quite single handed operation. The chest pocket fits a phone nicely, and I appreciate the small elastic pocket insert inside the R lower pocket to hold a key separate from other items. The front zipper bunches quite a bit. Not so much an issue when you're upright, but kind of a nuisance when you sit (on a chairlift, when driving, etc.). The lack of a hanging tab inside the jacket is perplexing; I definitely don't like having to hang it by the hood but that's the only option.

I won't buy this again
If you carry your skis once it will rip the jacket.

Will not last
The future light material is extremely poor quality and cannot withstand half a season of skiing. I carried my skis a couple of times and the sleeves on the shell ripped. The bib shell ripped from the ski boots. I contacted North Face and they refused to take responsibility for the poor quality of their apparently high end product. My old goretex jacket has 0 rips and is 8 years old. This material will be the downfall of Northface

Lightweight
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The material used is awesome, it fit perfectly for me, not too big or too small. It has space for laying if needed.

Great for snow sports!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm using this coat for splitboarding and it is great to keep the wind out yet it breathes to keep me from getting sweaty.

Yes if was smaller
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The size is a little big. I would honestly be a free consultant. I feel like you could be so much better. I truly believe in the company and with a few tweaks feel that it could grow to new heights.
