5 star coat!
This coat is perfect for my 13 year old son here in Ohio. Nice and warm without being too bulky, and the hood comes off as well. 5 stars.

2nd time buying this jacket!
This is a perfect jacket for my son to wear out on the weekends. (I wouldn't trust sending this to school!) He loves it and it fits him perfectly as he he is small for his age so bulky jackets don't work. This is the 2nd one I purchased, and when he outgrows this I hope I find something else that works as well for him!

Loved this jacket BUT ...
My son has had 2 Thermoball jackets in the last 3 years. The first one was loved & saw him through 2 seasons & then was passed on to his cousin. It continues to live!! The second one didn't last a month. The zipper came off, got stuck & now I have to replace the zipper. I want to love you, North Face, but

Perfect gift

Warm, but not bulky
It is loved by my preteen! Stylish, not bulky, but yet it is warm. Just wish the hood was attached by a zipper instead of buttons.
