It feels good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is definitely what i needed for my left knee. I have spent the last year self healing my meniscus. The cold and head function work great. The unit fits tight and is quite comfortable. The massage vibration could be stronger but I have a high tolerance. It works right out of the box and is quite intuitive. Red light therapy would be a great add on for a future version. Overall I feel the benefit of using the unit and the quality is worth the price.

Hot and cold features great, vibration doesn’t do much

Bad Battery Life

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The battery life is bad. Having a second battery would help, but I contacted Therabody and they said they don’t sell batteries separately…. which is annoying.

Great therapy, but short battery life

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The RecoveryTherm Hot and Cold Vibration Knee device offers a potent combination of heat/cold therapy and vibration, effectively soothing aches and reducing inflammation. It's incredibly user-friendly with straightforward controls and a comfortable fit. However, the battery only lasts two uses.

Comfortable

Neat, but not worth the trouble

It's a really cool device, it just doesn't do that great of a job. Certainly not a better job than an ice pack and a heating pad. It's nice that it vibrates, but it just sucks the battery even more (and the battery life is pretty terrible even without vibration on. The little areas that apply the heat and cool are kinda in silly spots too...the top ones are great for the bottom of your quads, but the bottom areas are just wasting heat and cold on the top of your shins. There really should be some way to apply heat and cold to like...the actual knee joint don't you think? Like patellar tendinopathy is probably the source of MOST people's knee pain (at least the active people who are going to consider a product like this), so don't you think the hot and cold should go there? Anyway, I really want to like this product but it's just okay. It gets hot and cold, but not as hot or cold as you'd like. It doesn't get hot and cold in the areas you'd really like it to. The battery life is terrible. Love the idea and maybe the next version will be great.

I found the coverage of the heating/cooling to be lacking, particularly considering how bulky it is. It only cools on specific plates on the device, which didn’t touch my kneecap or some of the areas around it that I really needed. Ended up getting they hyperice one instead which I’ve been much happier with!
