great pack but one thing
The closure should be a buckle. I get why people think the hook and loop is a good idea, it looks clean, but in reality it isn't functional. It is prone to opening if the pack isn't completely full and it is moved around, like being put under an airplane seat. I'm actually planning to modify my bag to have a nice metal buckle instead of the hook. The hook and loops is also way harder to close if you're moving or have only one hand. Love the other features that make this pack usable for city and hiking. The stow waist straps are amazing, and I can walk to work without looking like I just got off a trail with dangling straps - also very nice on planes. The ability to access the bottom of the pack through the side zip is also really nice. Additionally the product is well made and I haven't ever had to worry about wear and tear.

I used the backpack in Colombia for several weeks of field work. The design is really good, my 14'' laptop is well protected, the two outer pockets hold a drinking bottle, the different compartments are ideal for my purposes, the rain cover fits perfectly, the backpack is light but robust... really good value for money.

Essential multi use
Used it 5 times over the last few weeks. Travelling and hiking it holds up. No complaints, it’s not lacking anything in terms of functionality. Aesthetically pleasing (to me) If I was to be picky, I’m like better distribution of the weight, but that is more related to how I pack things

15 days hiking.. loved this pack
I took this pack hiking every day in Glacier Montana in July. I carried 3L of water in a bladder, towel, raincoat, lunch, first aid kit, and fishing gear. This pack held up just fine in the heat, dust, rain, and hail. The quick access side pocket was convenient. My only complaint is the bottle pockets do not fit larger containers, nalgene size.

Quality appropriate for the list price
Really happy with the quality and features for this daypack. The Nutria color is even better than in the photos and the silver gray and red orange draw string inside have really good synergy. One improvement could be that when the top compartment is half full(in the lid) the lid does not cover the rear compartment(does cover the main compartment with the draw strig), so I fed the strap with the metal hook fastener through the elastic band so I could draw the lid and metal hook fastener farther down and tied the extra strap around the mole webbing with still with not enough overlap of the lid and the enterance to the rear compartment but will keep most of the rain out but limiting the pack capacity by a few liters, mabye make the lid 4 inches(100mm) longer with a non compartmental flap extention so the pack capasitity stays at 25L.
