Very easy to use, Secure
I haven't put it to actual use yet but I have examined it closely. It will work as advertised, of this I have no doubt. I own a camera strap that has similar functionality (Steel cables inside) and it has saved my camera at least twice

Deterrent
Strap in trunk seems way too long. Looks like it could be cut easily but hopefully would deter someone from attempting to steal bike rack.

Does what it is suppose to do
It is not really a "lock" per se, but the plastic "puck" attached to the end makes sure that the trunk has to be opened to remove the strap from the rack. The rack is effectively attached to the car via the strap in the locked trunk.

Passive lock strap
I bought this a few weeks ago. It's inexpensive and easy to install. You wrap one end on the bike rack & close the other end on the truck..... that's it. Great security for the bike rack

The color of the straps
I am content with the new straps I purchased however I appreciate changing the color from black to blue. I much prefer the color black because it hid the scuff marks while the blue shows the scuff marks. So change for change sake.
