Awesome Product
The Top Ride does exactly how what it says, holds the bike snug and secure. Very easy to secure to my car

Security is Secondary
I see your canned responses, Thule, don't bother. You actively made this iteration of your wheel-off roof rack less secure by declining to put a lock on the axel clamping mechanism. No one expects full consistency; but the insecure lock housing of your previous rack, the Thule ThruRide, failed to even deter thieves (to be fair, the lock core stayed locked and the PLASTIC arm the lock core sits in was levered open with no effort); I see no improvement on this design. The addition of the cable to this offering is laughable. Please write it down, Thule: 3 Points of Locking 1. Fork to Rack 2. Rack to Crossbars 3. Frame to Rack/Crossbars via cable (Better yet, rear wheel lock) And please NO PLASIC anywhere near the LOCK CORES This rack is well built as perpendicular and buffeting wind forces on the axel seem to be minimal at highway speeds; the bike sits securely on the rack and gives me assurance it is robustly fastened. Bike feels secure around corners and there is low wind noise (I use Thule aero bars without a fairing) when a bike is not mounted. Inexcusable execution of security. Take the opportunity to sell me more lock cores.

Versatile; just works
Easy to use, complete, well designed. But what I like the most is the ability to swap easily between types of bikes (road qr rim, road TA dosc, kids bike which bolt TA, etc) Just works . Only downside is the price

Intuitive and secure!!
I purchased this primarily for my mountain bike and the Proride XT for ease of transporting a larger variety of bikes in the stable. I found this rack extremely easy to install and remove from my Caprock platform and it holds the bike securely. The added feature of being able to adjust to multiple thru axel widths and quick release is an added bonus to the system. I’d highly recommend this to anyone who uses a roof system for transporting bikes.

Dont like the adapters
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I returned these after I realized you need an adapter on your front axle. The axle rattles side to side and you can hear it while driving. It comes half-disassembled as well. I bought the Yakima version with the knob. No adapters fit my Thule bars, and they came fully assembled.

Love this rack
This is hands down the best bike roof rack they have made.

Solid mount, but insecure
Have just driven from UK to the South of France and the rack was flawless while driving, through very heavy rain. It is not flawless while parked however. The release lever should be key operated making it harder to remove the bike as the cable lock is pathetic. Thule have replied to a few comments saying that thieves could release the axle instead, but that is a very weak excuse -for example the fork ends could be capped so the axle head isn’t accessible with an allen key. Instead I pack a separate D lock and cable but it would be a disaster if I left it on while driving.

Great Upgrades
Having used the previous generation TopRide, I was reluctant to get this version. I'm glad I tried it out as the new fork locking mechanism is solid. Easy to assemble and use, very secure and doesn't put wear on fork or thru axel. Overall a top tier Thule product. For those that can't use a hitch rack, this one is great.

Solid and Sleek
I've been using my TopRide for a month and am very happy with the easy installation, rock solid carrying of my investment, and the super sleek look. I initially tried the alternative brand, but it wasn't nearly as well designed. The locking mechanism on the TopRide is fool-proof; There is never a doubt about the correct tension.

A bit disappointed
In general, I'm a fan of Thule products. This one, however, has left me a bit disappointed for two reasons. The first reason being, that despite the website saying the Thule TopRide fit my car (2015 Mazda CX5), the bike rack prevents my rear lift gate from opening. Technically it may fit the car, but it doesn't really as it's too long. The second reason is that I'm not a fan of the metal bits that secure the bike rack to the cross bars. Because of the fit, I'm constantly taking this thing on and off my car. The metal pieces are always falling (it has a very odd design) and landing on my car roof. Not ideal for little dents and scratches.
