Good bib - strange shoulder straps

Love everything about the bib, however when it arrived we could not figure out the shoulder straps. FINALLY as we were about to box them up and ship them back to return them we realized there are strips of material sewn into the back of the front bib panel in ladder fashion in which you re-snap the shoulder strap further down below the plastic loop. It's wonky, but it works. Looks like an after thought on the design and we didn't think it was intuitive at all. Maybe future versions will make more sense? Now that we have figured that out they are staying... everything else seems to be on point. Also, they are very baggy/generous in the mid-section. Easily will get medium/moderate weight layers under them, and for those who need more room these have it. We have tried the Patagonia Powder town kids bib which were exact opposite with roominess/fit - tight in crotch, etc. We also have Obermeyer Enforcer which have a disappointing shoulder strap/bib system that zips out and the straps slide off shoulders as well. Another thing to watch out for on kids bibs for boys is the fake fly - not sure why but some of these companies sew what looks like a real fly but find out it's fake - no zipper. Not good for the boys on mtn pee breaks. These Trew bibs have a real fly despite the side zip entry. Prefer the full front zip for entry... either way be sure the fly is real. We have sent back bibs for this reason in the past.
