To bulky
Terrible fit and very awkward if you like to have your ability to move freely on the bike.

I was at the bike park and took a mean fall after sending a jump. I rolled a good 10 feet on rocks but walked away with only minor scraps. This thing is a beast.

As advertised
I was very rusty after not riding for close to a year. Went out last weekend and the ride took us through some snow and then rocky terrain with the occasional downed trees. I just described the objects that I fell on all at generally slow speeds. Excellent forearm protection and the gear is easy to remove after working up a sweat.

Tested with heavy crash

Pretty comfortable though isn't the softest directly against skin especially against chest hair. Getting to the point, I had a very heavy moto crash (broken pelvis, hand, double dislocated shoulders) in this and everything it covered was ok. My chest and ribs were sore from the hit but the pads took up a bunch of the impact so nothing broke. Also had several trips onto my shoulders and back before that wreck where I just popped back up and was totally fine. Even as great as it helps it's quite bulky so I save it for bike park days when it's not too hot and run lighter protection on hot days or anytime I'm going to be doing any amount of pedaling. I also recommend bringing it into the shower after every use to keep the stink down as it can get pretty funky. If you want maximum protection that's not a hard shell and is pretty comfortable this is your best choice IMO.

Provides protection down to your belly which is essential if you end up mixing with your bike while casing jumps. I could not find any other protection that would protect the area around your spleen, which is a popular place for mountain bikers to become internally injured after a spill. This should probably be a five rating but the shirt does end up stinky, it takes some time to dry it out after a good day riding, and it gets super hot when it?s over 80.

great coverage!
Very well build top- the elbow pads are actually built-in hard pads!! Comfortable and fits well under a jersey. Would recommend.

All In One
This item is exactly what the description says it is, an all in one protective shirt. It was a bit tricky climbing into it the first time and a little snug coming off but I thought it was a good way to have all of your protection in one unit. I would recommend wearing a cooling layer under it to make it easier to get it off when you are sweaty. I usually wear medium shirts, but tend to be right in the middle of a medium and a large. I would recommend going on the larger side if this is the case for you. I did actually end up going with a Leatt Hydra protective pack instead because it was more suited for what I wanted.
