Why We Like The UnParallel Flagship Pro Shoe
When getting horizontal, we pull on UnParallel's Flagship Pro Shoe. The sharp downturn and aggressive curvature help us grab and pull, while the split-sole design lets us plantar- and dorsiflex to the max for toe- and heel-hook security. And when we pull onto the face, there's moderately soft RS rubber and a stiff midsole insert under the toe for all-around performance.

TLDR: Love these. Great shoes for gripping on tiny, sharp edges. Unparallel is underrated. Fit: N.B - I have found that I like my shoes tighter than the average climber. I bought these after using the Unparalleled Up-Rise Pro religiously and loving them on pretty much everything outside. I bought 9s in those (I'm a 10.5 in Vans) and they stretched to become very comfy and still tight. I bought 9s in these flagship pros and they are VERY tight (V3 to put them on, and toe nails fall off if I don't trim them) and I don't expect them to stretch much more but thats kinda what I was looking for. I can't wear them for more that 1 pitch but that's all I need. I almost returned them because I couldn't put them on but eventually got em on. Probably don't downsize as much as I did but I would buy them at this size again. Comfort is for my Uprises so especially don't downsize if you want these to be more versatile than just a sending shoe. Performance: By-far, my favorite sending shoe to date. For those who haven't worn Unparalleled before, my two-cents (which seems like many other agree on) is that their rubber strikes the right balance between stiff and soft/grippy especially for outdoor climbing better than I have ever experienced. My benchmark for sending shoes have been Scarpa Vapor Vs and Scarpa Arpias (both too stiff and not sensitive imo) and evolve Zenists (my indoor shoes, hard to compare too since these are super soft). These shoes are better at edging than everything I've tried, including my Uprise Pros and grippier on overhang than everything (though I still prefer the Uprise Pros on slabbier/face climbing with rounded/polished fit because they bend more). These shoes are also still very sensitive which I love. These excel on granite and sharp limestone. Unsure about sandstone as I don't live near much. I haven't really tried them indoors, but I can't imagine they'd be bad, I just prefer really soft shoes on plastic. Quality: Overall pretty good. The top toe rubber is peeling up a bit as they stretch slightly, but I can glue that down again easy.

Great shoes

Insanely great shoes and a super underrated brand right now. These will get more popular, and you'll definitely regret not having gotten a pair of these sooner. I wear a men's 8.5 in street shoes and got these in an 8.5 for an incredibly snug but not painful fit. I would recommend getting your street shoe size, but if you want a performance fit, downsize no more than half a size. Even with getting it in my street shoe size, I had to use parchment baking paper to help get my heel in for the first few times. After the first session it already feels pretty broken in, in terms of getting the shoe on, but is still super snug and tight everywhere on the foot. The shoe is sensitive, but not too soft. The toe rubber is crazy good and the same goes for the heel. 10/10 will be trying/getting more Unparallel shoes!
