Ergonomic but fits small
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Size Bought:
- M
- Height:
- 5' 7"
- Weight:
- 170
I'm 5'7" 170 lbs and normally size M of various brands fit my 38 in chest well, but the USWE Pace 12 in M is one size off. I extended all the straps but still ended with a tight fit with the chest strap and buckle pressing against sternum uncomfortably, Both things are not up-down adjustable so I couldn't move it to reduce the pressure. So that was the deal breaker. Big thanks to Backcountry.com for making returns easy. Did not try the size up because I don't think the chest strap and buckle position is for me. Things I do like: The cut is immediately comfortable, side adjustment is a plus, though not much length in those straps. It also has multiple pole strap options I ended up with a Montane Via Fang 5L. Similar ergonomics, zero strap issues.
