Overhyped
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it

Materials felt great and surprisingly lightweight. Zipper was mediocre. Three of the baffles (front and back) had very little down in them. Backcountry support was rather unhelpful and told me to contact Western Mountaineering directly. Western Mountaineering support was very friendly and quick to respond, offered troubleshooting steps, and ultimately offered to refill the empty baffles if I paid to ship the bag back to them. Felt that I shouldn't have to pay out of pocket to fix a manufacturer's defect on a brand new item, so ended up returning the bag to Backcountry. It's a shame, I wanted to love it, but for such an expensive item I would expect better quality control.

I have the mega lite sleeping bag that I bought from backcountry in 2013 - 10 years ago and it is still looking great and proforms like new. I will be using this winter when I am primitive camping in Florida. I live in Florida so I also sleep in it in the summer season I just change my sleep pads, summer pad and my winter pad. I recommend the mega lite it’s definitely worth the price.
