This is my go-to board for longer/bigger missions and i've used it in a wide variety of terrain and conditions all around Colorado and it has been an amazing board. I love the shape and feel of the board from powder to steep couloirs. And a plus it helps with a little weight savings especially on bigger missions.

Not going to lie, the first time I held the backwoods carbon I was skeptical. How could a splitboard this light hold up to the test? Well, after a few years of putting it up against just about everything you can think of, I can confidently say that they did not compromise strength at all with the carbon construction. Big days on traverses such as the Bugaboos to Rogers Pass I was grateful for the weight savings. the backwoods carbon split also pairs beautifully with a hard boot setup! From coast to coast bottomless pow to the most heinous of ice and rock I felt confident with this bad boy under my feet.

I have been riding this board for a couple years now and just keep coming back for more! This has been my daily driver for riding mid winter in the Wasatch and Uintas. The float is amazing in powder and the camber allows you to ride through the chop or breakable crust often encountered when exiting backcountry lines. Fun and nimble in the trees. Awesome for opening it up in bowls.
