Used for short routes at the crag and for long alpine days. Friend is light, easy to place and remove, and the extendable sling is awesome! The coordination with BD colors/sizes is a nice touch. A solid workhorse/foundational piece for any rack (and at a better price than any other brand).

Great for a starting rack.
Wild country Friends are the best choice for the base of a solid rack. Light weight and durable a great starting point with desirable creature features while still keeping no frills ease of use at the forefront.

Handle well, great spring action, place with smooth trigger movement, cool sling extension and learned the clip one strand and leave racking carabiner in both to make cleaning and reracking hassle free.

these friends are too notch, shares colors with black diamond so that's helpful if you rack up multiple brands. they bite very well and have extendable slings built in.
