Why We Like The Wild Country Pro Guide Lite Belay Device
From bolted routes to trad multi-pitches, the Wild Country Pro Guide Lite Belay Device gives smooth, controlled catches and lowers. Its ultralight construction saves grams and space on our harness, while the brake side's grooves boost friction for increased stopping power. When rigging this device in guide mode, the oversized belay hole allows a full carabiner rotation for easy clipping and flipping, while the enlarged release hole easily accommodates a carabiner or sling to simplify tension release when needing to lower under load.

Great belay device
It works great and it is indeed lighter than my BD ATC. No complaints.

Love it. Works great with my 9.9 60m rope and has been through quite a lot. Still holds up very nicely! My friend always comments that the colors (purple/green) remind him of candy...whatever gets you through the climb bro.

Put it through hell and back belaying 80-90 people a week all summer (for work) on dirty ropes. Not a single edge. MY BD XP started getting an edge after just a few times on the same rope. Never used the guide portion of it, so I can't say much about it. But it is very light and not clunky like some guide devices. the only issue was if the ropes swelled up due to water (i think the rope was close to 11 mm, pretty thick) id have to switch devices because rope would go through. My friends say it reminds them of the hulk (i have the purple/green one). I recommend!
