Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this bag. I purchased this bag to hang underneath my saddle and it mounted great. I was able to cinch it nice and tight. Unfortunately, on chattery mountain bike trails, the bag wiggles out of the strap and hangs over the rear tire. I thought it was because I mounted it wrong, so I remounted it and took it for another ride. Unfortunately, as I was riding, the bag wiggled out of the strap again and got wedged between the rear tire and rear triangle. The knobs on my tire destroyed the bag. I'm quite surprised that the bag ripped so easily. Very thin fabric.

I originally confused myself and bought the version without the mounting plate; I was planning on using my underneath downtube mounting points with the plate but I just use the velcro strap instead. I use it on my gravel/commuter almost daily for the past 3 months. The velcro strap works well to hold it in place, though after a dozen muddy rides the velcro is starting to not be as sticky. I've already patched a hole in the bag with a tent fabric repair patch. It is pretty water resistant, though on wet and muddy rides even when it was brand new a little bit of water and dirt were able to work their way inside the bag. I've got a 650c tube, small pump, tire lever, plug repair kit, and multitool in it and it is about 2/3 full. The biggest issue is when this full the single velcro strap doesn't really hold it as well as it could, it could benefit from another strap to use in the second strap opening. This would help secure it better, because it does occasionally wander and rotate into the pedal. I'm looking for something with strap security to replace this.
