Why We Like The Yakima FatCat EVO 6
The Yakima FatCat EVO 6 doesn't care if our family skis or snowboards; it's wide enough to handle a family-sized set of either type of equipment, and it's easy to use. We don't need a single tool to attach the EVO 6 to our vehicle's roof rack, and the HangOver clamp attachment point makes it easy to load and unload our sticks. Its sleek design is aerodynamic for quiet travel on the road.

Good rack
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Size Bought:
- FatCat Evo6 - 40 inches long
I bought the Yakima Fat Cat Evo6 because of good reviews and the fact that Lexus equips their cars with it. It was easy to install and held my skis, poles, and snowboard in place. It’s stays open for loading and it was easy to close and lock. It looks slick and the oblong shape decreases the wind resistance. I am happy with the purchase.

Best ski racks on the market
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
What else is there to say, these are great ski racks and work very well. Their low profile helps with aerodynamics and as long as you take them off in the warmer months they should stay working and looking nice for a long time. I would get the six if you regularly drive with 3 or more people, plus I think they look better than the 4's. Just my 2 cents.
