Almost the perfect shoe
I was looking for a lightweight Ultra with some cushion/structure since the last ultras I bought were way too heavy! The heal slips too much in these even after adjusting how I tied the laces. It seems to be the right size because I would not want it too short. Its like the whole ankle is too sloppy. I also wish there was a tad more toe protection but that is not a deal breaker. I do like the cushion and lightness. I think I'm past 30 day return since I bought them before a trip and got back and it's been a whirlwind getting kids back to school.

So Close to Perfect
These shoes are so close to perfect. My main issues are durability which tends to be an issue with any Altra shoe I've tried and the heel is also too wide and it slips more than other models.

I love these shoes
I love Altras but have not loved the Lone Peak styling and color for a couple of seasons. I tried these, and they do not disappoint. I'll have to see how they do on long trail runs but so far for hikes they are very good.

Great shoe; poor quality
Performs well on steep terrain, but the insoles have already fallen apart and Altra will not replace them. I've run in Altras for years and have never had this happen before.

I love these with my whole heart!
I truly love these shoes & have bought them in every color I could find. The toe box is perfect, they have just enough stability & cushion, and I have even started wearing them for road running.

Light and lovely, with heel slippage
Great shoes but I needed to loop the laces and tie them extra tight to keep them from eating my socks, which is not normal for my favorite brand. The laces are plenty long enough for this, which is great.

Can't stop, won't stop
I have been running in Altras for about 4 years. I started with the Lone Peaks and have graduated to the Mont Blancs for my up coming 100 mile race. The Mont Blancs are so freaking comfortable!

Disappointed
I was so exited about these. They look great and the grip is amazing! But the shoes are just so uncomfortable. As soon as I put them on in the parking lot before my hike they were uncomfortable. The tongue is so thin and almost too short. But I thought maybe they just needed to be walked in a bit. Less than a mile in and I stopped to do my first adjustment on the lacing. That was the first of several stops ok my only 10 mile hike. No matter how I laced or adjusted them they hurt my feet. At one point I considered taking them off and going barefoot. As soon as I got home I packaged them for return.

Disappointed
These seem to run small while others I have run big.
