Why We Like The Eldo Mid LTH GV Hiking Boot
Whether we're squeezing a quick technical hike into our weekend or planning hours of scouting in the bouldering field, the Eldo Mid LTH GV Hiking Boot gets the job done. This light boot is ideal for the approach, and it works well as an agile partner for shorter day hikes. Rugged suede uppers, protective GORE-TEX lining, and a mono-density midsole offer the comfort and stability needed on the trail, but the true star is the Vibram AG outsole with MegaGrip. This rubber-compound sole offers the grip necessary for reaching desired routes in wet, slippery, or treacherous terrain.

I haven't put enough hiking miles in them to leave a real review but so far they are comfortable and seem durable.

My favorite boots of all time

Some years back I had the Asolo Fugitive boots. They were a bit heavy (but awesome) and eventually I switched to trail runners (mostly Altras), then went for a light boot (Keens). Those Keens might have contributed to my slipping on rocks and tearing my MCL, after recovering from which I decided to dedicate my footwear to Vibram soles, which I believe make a difference on rock. The Altras had it but kept falling apart. So now I've got these boots and I absolutely LOVE them because they have the Vibram sole, the support of a boot, longevity better than trail runners, and they are Asolo. So it's like a lightweight cousin which reminds me of my old Fugutives but lighter weight.
