Why We Like The Speedframe MIPS Pro Helmet
The Speedframe Pro is a helmet you forget about while wearing it, and that’s why it’s one of our favorites. The safety conscious construction helps us focus on the next feature instead of the next tree. With MIPS technology we won’t be subject to the same forces the helmet encounters on the ground and the large ventilation ports means plenty of airflow to keep our head cool and collected.

New helmet look great, fits great but chin strap too small--too bad!

Too Small - Size Chart Inaccurate
Measured 22.5" head size and used the Proframe sizing since the Speedframe sizing wasn't on the speed chart - but the M was too tight and felt a few spots in back when fully extended. When I buckled it, the strap was completely taut and uncomfortable. I want a few fingers' gap in there. I returned and am pretty annoyed at paying the $6.99 return fee to Backcountry because they didn't have the correct size chart to begin with. Grrr...do better Backcountry.

I know that the look should not be the first thing here, but let's be honest; everyone wants to look nice, even when working out. The helmet fits perfectly, and I forget that I am even wearing it and feel confident wearing it. Material is light but strong enough to protect me. I love the product; great design.

Comfy but poor ventilation
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I got this helmet based on many positive reviews and have only been somewhat happy, I wore it mountain biking exclusively for at least a year thru all the temps one experiences in western Montana. The helmet itself is very comfy and feels light on my head. My dissatisfaction comes from even during early morning MTB rides when it's cool out, I noticed I was getting pretty hot and my head was sweating like crazy during hillclimbs. The other thing I noticed was the helmet didn't vent hardly at all as speed increased, say on the flats or downhill sections. I mean I couldn't feel any cooling at all especially compared to other older helmets I have which weren't fit to continue wearing from a safety standpoint. Now I only wear the Speedframe when I am commuting or wintertime romps on my road bike. (I did purchase a 100% Altec helmet and love it, not perfect but very good, excellent ventilation!)

Really Nice-Looking but Weird Strap/Fit
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
I bought this helmet for the brand reputation and looks, the dual-density foam, and it felt good in store. When I got home and tried to fit it, I realized the Y-junction of the strap on each side is completely non-adjustable. This means this junction is a full inch or more below my ear. Even with the strap snug, this allows too much play between helmet and head. Another unfortunate design issue is the visor does not readily come off so you will always have to ride with the visor even when it does not make sense to do so.

Good helmet but clip is misleading
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
Love the Speedframe Pro. Lightweight and aired out well but the problem that I had with it was the magnetic clip. Clip worked amazing until I crashed and landed on my head. The magnetic clip instantly released and left me hitting my bare head on the ground. Will not be getting a helmet with a magnetic clip again.

High Quality, Looks Great, Super Light
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I just got this helmet recently and I can tell it is going to be awesome. The only hiccup I have is that I accidentally got one that was too big! Putting it on it felt super light and comfortable and the straps went nicely around my ears without rubbing them. I absolutely loved the Fidlock magnetic buckle too! The shape of the helmet was really nice and I can tell that when I get the next size down it will be awesome. Wish I could say more on how it felt while I was riding with it but I haven't had the opportunity to yet! I'll update my review once I am able to! I got the Large and I have a 58.5 Cm head, it was barely too big and I could move the shell around my head. Size chart says that the Large starts at 59 CM and the Medium ends a 58 CM so I know the medium will work great for me! **UPDATE** I just got my medium helmet in and it fits perfectly! It is super comfy and doesn't look bulky on my head! Can't wait to put it to the test on bike!

Really Great
- Familiarity:

This helmet is so light, and comfortable that its easy to forget that it is on my head. The extra liner that is included is an amazing touch. Living in a hot humid environment can make for some sweaty rides, where the liner will surely need to be replaced before the helmet in most cases. Great forethought from Fox to include another one up front. These forehead vents might be the best I have seen so far. When its time for a new helmet, I wouldn't hesitate to pick up a second one of these!

Great Feeling Helmet
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
This is one of the best feeling helmets I have worn in a long time. I have used Smith, Giro, and Lazer helmets and found the fit on this one to be near perfect for me. The padding on the inside of the helmet is also a little more substantial than other brands out there adding to the comfort of the helmet. It also breaths well so you won't have to worry about getting a hot head while riding in this helmet. Overall this is a great-looking and feeling helmet that will protect your noggin on the trail!
