Not warm?
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
Not sure if I got unlucky but the pair I received simply was not warm, regardless of time the heating element never warmed to anything I would call "warming." Returned with no issues just not worth the cost and a shame from a brand I like

I've been skiing for 30 years and unfortunately have nerve damage in my fingers and toes due to multiple bouts of frostbite. The Hestra rep steered me to these instead of the heated gloves due to durability. The liner is great and comfortable but the battery system is an s show. They're too bulky, difficult to keep in the liner, waaaay to big to pair with the cuffs of my Hestra Army gloves, and it's a pain to mate with my jacket cuff. The phone app is a joke and doesn't offer much functionality. I think this is an example of a first generation product missing the mark, by a wide margin. I agree with everything the other reviewer (Law) stated in their synopsis. I wouldn't recommend these liners for any reason. Especially at this price.

As someone who suffers from Raynauds, I'm always looking for good heated gloves. I have a set of Outdoor Research that have served me well for 5-6 seasons, and wanted to update. These gloves looked great--thin enough to wear as a liner, so I can layer up or down as needed. Unfortunately, the magnetic attachment of the batteries is finicky and impossible to see, so you spend 5 minutes trying to attach the batteries. Battery life on high is just a couple hours...so if you want a full day skiing, get used to low setting. You can't get a duplicate set of batteries to swap out at this point...so utility is limited. Most annoying is the design, however. The batteries are way up on your forearm, attached to the stretchy gauntlet part of the glove, and there's no support for them. They bounce around, droop down your arm, move and slide with every movement of your arms, etc. Trying to fit them in the sleeve of your jacket is a PITA, and it becomes a 5 step process to put these on, get the jacket situated, get a waterproof glove on over it, fix the cuff, etc...only to have the batteries slide around the first time you move your arms. Pass on these. I'm typically a L in gloves and got these in 9 based on the size chart; fit was great.
