It's outfitted with a classic leather upper for long-lasting durability, and features a waterproof membrane to keep mounting snow from soaking through to your socks. KeenWarm insulation gives you a lightweight layer of insulation that'll keep your feet toasty and warm through even the coldest winter weather, and a lugged rubber outsole gives you dependable grip and traction on slippery winter surfaces. Couple of manufacturing flaws!

Very warm at -15°F, very comfortable, perfect 15M fit. I’ll preface my comments by saying I walk @1,500 miles/year on easy terrain. When I first started wearing Keens about 20 years ago, I was dismayed that various different parts of them (mostly the eyelets and the junction of the toes and soles and uppers tend to start falling apart after about a year. But, I am diabetic and I have tender feet, and I’m very cautious about my feet and very observant about how shoes affect my feet and it is my opinion that the softness of a Keen boot is actually to my advantage, and well worth buying a new pair every year or so. I think a more rugged and durable boot would beat my feet up more. Does that make sense? That said, here’s my criticism for this particular boot model. When I put it on the very first time, the little plastic insert fell out of the upper eyelet on both sides of the left boot. There was also a flawed and loose stitch on the outer side of the left boot tongue. I’ll try to attach a photo so you can see it. It appears the plastic insert fell out because leather suture lines were missed on the left boot that were not missed on the right boot. Being a shop guy and a retired surgeon, I endeavored to perform this necessary suture line on my own and we’ll see if that holds up. Also fixed the frayed left lower tongue at its junction with the upper. Mark

Very happy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased for my husband. He says that they are super comfortable, and he is very happy. He did size up a half size as his usual size was a tad narrow and he wanted to be able to wear thick socks.

The ankle height is what

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The ankle height is what I was after but it is a winter boot. Too hot for summer hiking. Also the toe is not the typical Keen wide toe room. I cannot find a high ankle, summer hiking boot by Keen. Very unfortunate.

Not durable/ comfy though

Both my outsoles on both boots started coming off after a year of occasional use. I’ve shoe goo’d them along for occasional use just because I had invested my money in them.first pair of keens and I’m Disappointed in the longevity. You can see the tread is still great, it’s the outsole stitching that tore. 5 stars for comfort, 1 star for durability. Don’t get these for hard use.

Comfy, but not good for serious hikers

They broke in great, had plenty of room in the toe box for splay (needed boots to substitute for my Altras for a few miles). I’m hiking in the Sierras and used them to summit Mount Whitney. The toe cap came unglued on each boot after about 60 miles, letting water in. Once waterproof boots get wet, they take a couple of days to dry and I had to come off trail. They’re comfy for short, easy weekends. But not really built to stand up to backpacking. Maybe stitch the toes and make them a little more rugged?

Great boots for the money

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great boots, run a touch small in length so if you’re going to wear a warmer sock size up. Keens are naturally wide, I do wish these came in a wide for my heavier hunting socks.

My sole started separating from

My sole started separating from the boot. Right away. Not even abusing the boot.

not true to color listed

Super disappointed in keen, waited all year for a black Friday sale to get the boot I wanted I was so excited for it to arrive only to find out the color stated as cocoa/mulch is more like plum and purple and now everything’s back to full price Sad to say, I’ll be returning these boots and wearing my old ones for another season. What a bummer.
