If it weren't for those pocket zippers
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
Let's be honest. This is a durable canvas jacket in the mold of Carhartt that will be purchased by people who may not be in a trade, but want the look (myself included). The most work this sees is bringing in firewood from outside. I purchased the carbon color because I wanted something a little different than your typical brown and very happy with it. Here's what I really like. Fleece interior body and quilted arms keep things generally very warm. Canvas construction cuts down on wind penetration, as well as the elastic rear skirt. Additional coverage on the...um... rear is big plus too. Both interior and exterior chest pocket provides options. Where I really dislike this jacket are the front pockets. They're small and don't hold a phone well. The pocket zippers though are the real problem. While heavy duty, every time you put your hands in the pockets, you feel like you're cutting up the cuffs. Leave them zipped open and it feels like a chain saw against the sleeves as your arms move back and forth. If the opening was bigger, I wonder if it would eliminate those two issues. Otherwise a really nice and functional jacket.
