Super light and efficient shovel. Works great and adds very little weight to my pack while touring.

Good Shovel.
Only used it a few time in bounds so far to test it and build jumps. Packs fine, easy to deploy and doesn’t seem too heavy. Only grip is that there is enough play in the handle that when extending, if you twist the handle at all it will miss the catch and completely come apart. Not a super big deal but in a stressful situation could be a problem. Over all for the price it’s definitely worth it.

I’ve used this shovel to practice avi 1 as well as made it apart of my pack. Fits well in the vest i have and is pretty lightweight. In taken it out numerous times with plans to keep using it again next season.

Light weight, tough, reliable
The shovel is light weight, collapsible, quick to assemble in an emergency, and great at cutting through snow. No complaints or changes needed. One thing I am curious to see is the durability of the button locking system to extend/collapse the shovel and attach/detach the head. Will the button locks hold up over time?

Lightweight, compact and strong
Simple, compact, easy and quick to assemble. Most importantly it is strong enough to dig a full pit through harsh snow.

Sharp, works as needed.
I have used this for 2 Avvy rescue courses, it's easy to deploy and can slice, chop, scoop, and shove.

She digs
If you're looking for a lightweight, compact and packable shovel look no further. The head digs great and the handle is very comfortable. I especially like the extendable/collapsible handle. Frankly, you will not find a better deal on a quality shovel, especially if you're just getting into back country.

Seems good but I haven't been caught in any avalanches since I got it.
It seems sturdy, the blade is a bit smaller than I expected and it's a bit heavier than I had expected aswell. For the time being I'll chalk it up to the shovel being better constructed than my last one but as I said in the title, I wont know until it's put to the test.
