Why We Like The Mammut Ducan High GTX Hiking Boot
On top of its high-cut ankle support, the Mammut Ducan High GTX literally puts a spring into our step. The Vibram Flextron outsole features a spring-steel sole to absorb shock, transfer energy, and support our natural stride on the trail while also providing reliable, multi-surface traction. That provides a solid foundation for our hikes, and the waterproof-breathable GORE-TEX membrane lets us hike in all kinds of weather without worrying about our feet getting soaked. This is a classic style in the Mammut hiking shoe family.

Comfortable Hiking Boots
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Mammut's hiking boots are so reliable and value for money. It took me about 2 short hikes to break into the shoes, and now it fits my feet perfectly. The waterproofing works pretty decent, and the grip of the boots are good enough for my usage. I love love love the colourway as well! For reference, I am a usual EU38 for shoes and I got this pair of boots in EU38 2/3 (sized up for some allowance since it's a hiking boot) and it fits perfect!

Great hiking boot and very comfortable
Easy to break in. The waterproofing holds up great. I have had these out on trails from below zero to about 50°. They are way too warm for 50°. But they did keep my feet pretty warm in the cold temps. They were big enough that I could wear two pairs of socks, a wool liner and a hiking wool sock. The laces lock in and don't come undone halfway through the hike...and after wearing through some pretty muddy trails they clean up really well. It took about two wearings to break them in but now I can wear them all day with total comfort. I have a high instep with a narrow heel and a wide toebox, and these were incredibly comfortable with just a tad too much space in the heel . Which means that these will fit normal heels just fine.

She loves them
While choosing shoes are a highly personal choice, this one fit her perfectly. They are very well made, light and have a good and supportive insole. A good covering with MOTOREX Protex spray will waterproof them perfectly.

Pretty great boots!
Not quite true to size, but pretty close. Great traction and durability, but a bit hard to tighten due to the lack of tongue on the boot. Still very happy with them.
