Refillable Airbag System Cartridge
The Mammut Refillable Airbag System Cartridge is the critical element for your Mammut RAS (Removable Airbag System), Protection Airbag System, and older Snowpulse avalanche airbags to work. Once you've filled this empty cartridge to 3000PSI and installed it into your airbag system, it's ready to deploy the buoyant airbag that helps you remain on the surface of an avalanche. For durability, a valve protector has been added, and filling pressure can be controlled via an integrated pressure gauge. The cartridge must be filled after each use at an authorized refill center.

Haven't had to use this yet but it was very easy to install and looks easy to refill
Not too heavy but very easy to use. I'm using it for snowmobiling so I wasn't super concerned with the weight but it's great for what I need it for. I like that it's refillable so that I can easily test it if I need to. Great for any skill level, an essential piece of gear for anyone in an avalanche area. I use this with the mammut 3.0 airbag and backpack as well as the barryvox BPS. Great gear for skiing and snowmobiling.

Easily refillable and slender
TSA don’t mind it and any paintball, scuba, etc. store is equipped to refill it. Nice and slender so it doesn’t take up storage in the pack

functional and easy to use. Consider if your going to be traveling especially via airplane. This may not be the way to go especially since finding a refill seems to be a bit difficult. You definitely pay a weight penalty for the added safety. I'll make that trade any day.

I wouldn’t recommend this because of the size, it takes up a lot of space in my pack and gets in the way. I’d try to find a smaller canister

On sale and not too heavy
Is a match to my new Mammut Avalanche pack, got it on sale and isn't too heavy. Looks well made and is ready right out of the box.

It's one of those equipment you hope you'll never have to use. But overall, the canister fits well inside the Dakine ABS vest. I like that it comes with additional 3 fitting with it.
