Loved it but!
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Size Bought:
- 2 person
Loved it, it did pretty well against water coming in. Definitely make sure the guy lines are tight though. It’s spacious enough for two people with mummy shaped sleeping pads. I used it for myself and with my wife. It can definitely be a comfortable one person. I wish they made it in different colors, the bright green is a little too green but it’s still a good tent.

Love It!

I have used this tent in rain, wind, warm temps, cool temps (25-30 degrees) and absolutely love it. The tent is super light weight for hiking and is able to fold up nice and tight to save room in your pack. Only CON are the silly pockets inside the tent which everyone complains about, but not a big deal to me as I store my small items elsewhere.

Good Tent with room for improvement
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great tent. My first tent I purchased for backpacking actually. Super lightweight and easy to put up but left a lot to be desired after initial usage. The main con of this tent are the interior pockets. Lord is it annoying to have such useless pockets where everything just slides out of. A good pro is it has kept me pretty well throughout below freezing and the peak hotness of the summer. I have issues already though of the mesh getting some holes in it. I’m very careful with this tent packing it up and putting it down so I’m unsure what the cause of that is. Overall it’s a good tent but if I were to pick again I probably would’ve bought something else in this range.

Great light weight tent.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love how light and roomy the tent is. The 2 person SuperAlloy worked perfect for my 4day backpacking trip. It helped lighten my pack by 2 pounds, replacing my 4 pounds 2person tent. The structure has great headroom and kept me dry through a heavy downpour. Room inside tent for me and my pack. The vestibule was large enough to stow my camp chair at night and protect it from the rain. The tent came with 7 light weight stakes. I added two additional stakes to stake out the fly, which is optional. My only thought is the interior pockets were angled horizontal and were not ideal.

Better and bigger than my big agnes
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I have so many tents. I have a few ultralight ones. This one is my favorite so far. The material seems to be just a bit better than big Agnes ultralight tents. I have way more room than my flycreek 2 and double vestibule. Probably only need one, but it is a 2 person tent. Love the colors and the weight. I didn’t think marmot could pull it off, but I’m in love.

Nice and light for light backpacking
Nice and light. Pole broke in medium to heavy wind and punctured the fly. Marmot warranty covered it and gave me a credit, which made me very happy. Would use again but in favorable conditions.

Marmot Does Not Support Their Products
I have purchased the Superalloy 2P 2 years ago. I love the tent. Unfortunately, I had a branch fall on the rain fly and it ripped. No problem with the quality, just bad luck. I have been trying to get a replacement fly to purchase. Here is the response: "Thank you for being our loyal customer. I am sorry to inform you that this time, we do not carry spare parts for our products nor do we provide the in-house repairs, therefore, we will not be able to fulfill request." I thought they had a lifetime warranty. Plus, unable to support their product line? DO NOT PURCHASE Marmot products. Support those that actually support their products and you can get repaired and purchase replacements when things break. Would you buy a car that the dealership cannot repair? I will no longer be a customer and will tell all that I can to support the smaller, focused companies that appreciate their customers and their customers' hard-earned money. John

Ultra Light Backpacking
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For our BSA (formerly Boy Scouts) backpacking trip to Philmont, New Mexico, I purchased this ultra light 2 person tent. Since our trip was over 30 miles of rugged and high adventure and with extreme weather, I did not expect this tent to last for the two of us. It almost rain everyday and this tent kept us dry, mainly due to the rain fly. Occasionally, the wind picked up but this tent did not collapse. I own other 4 season 2 person tents but they are 3 to 5 times heavier. This is because the fabric is similar to parachute material. I thought this was the best ultra light yet rugged tent for most weather conditions.

In a previous question you reported the dimensions as width 50/42 and length 39 inches. I am a tallish but not giant human and I am 75 inches. Is this tent meant only for mini humans? If not could you tell me the real dimensions?

Weight of this tent is 2 lbs 11 oz, but in the web people mentioned weight 2 lbs 4-5 ounces. Weight might vary, but I think not in a such range. Or this is a some kind a different revisions with different weight?
