Great ski shell for cold or wet days
Awesome ski shell. Great water proofing, nice and roomy for skiing. Love the quality of the construction.

Great 3 seasons shell
I purchased the XL after having 2 kids because even if I could still get in my L from 8 years ago it was a little too snug around my hips. Very pleased with the fit and wow did I miss having the right gear for outside activities for the last couple years! Even if it’s advertised for ski, I wear it for walking in the rain, skating or just any fall-winter-spring activity that doesn’t require wearing a backpack. I’m 5’10” and I love how this brand is always on the longer sleeves and body.

Too big and zipper is finicky
The fabric has a good quality, but the zipper is finicky and gets stuck all the time below the neck. I usually wear medium, but this model is way too big and becomes very wide under the hips, which gives a weird look. The flaps on the pockets are annoying and it would have been good to have regular pockets as well and each side as opposed to front pockets only. Overall good Gore-Tex for the price if you buy it on sale like I did. I would recommend trying it in a store to see how it fits before ordering online. The fit is not standard.

Poor zipper quality
The zipper was a struggle, especially when the 2 way zipper was engaged. Should not have this type of problem at this price.

Better for hourglass figure wider hips
- Familiarity:

The fabric quality & color was great, but this jack is made for a more hourglass figure. I am an athletic build at 5'8" 140 lbs and the jacket felt much to wide at the hips where it flared out. I was disappointed as this was one of the few I tried that the chest and shoulder fits while still having long enough sleeves. Otherwise it would have been a perfect backcountry shell with all the features I was looking for.

Solid weather protection; too stiff
The solid shell will definitely keep the snow and rain out. But, it’s too rigid for me. Even without an insulating layer on under it, the movement of my arms was too restricted. The sleeves were also about 2-3 inches too long (5’4”: Med) which bunched up even more of the stiff fabric.

Kept me Dry on Kili
Bought this for Kilimanjaro; was the only one of 15 of us that didn’t get soaked through. Kept me happy and dry after 3 days of nonstop rain and snow. This is my second MH goretex and I can’t go back ☺️

Great shell for high-activity in stormy weather
Tested it out cross-country skiing in some snow and rain around Lassen. Stayed totally dry without overheating on the uphill and kept warm on the way back down. Love the boxy cut! I'm usually XS-S and went with a S to leave extra room for layers. Pretty darn light, not too crunchy, all the pockets are nice, top of the collar is soft against the chin, I like the length of the sleeves/torso, and the color is gorgeous in person. Overall I definitely recommend this shell and I can't wait to take it out on more adventures!

Huge
I typically order a bigger size for layer but after readying the reviews I ordered a small instead of a medium. It was still huge I should have ordered and XS. I felt like I was swimming in it. It's also super long which would be good for ski pants but I wear a bib so it was too much. 5'5 125 a true 4 typically wear a small and size up to a medium for extra layers. Needed an xs
