Why We Like The Mountain Hardwear Ventano Hoodie
Down isn't the only insulation that's lightweight and packable. The Mountain Hardwear Ventano Hoodie features ThermaCLOud AF insulation—silky polyester tufts that mimic many of down's best features while tolerating moisture much better than goose or duck down. That polyester fill holds in our body heat without weighing us down and packs down easily into its own pocket for easy storage in our pack. It's a trusted companion for backpacking, rock climbing, backpacking, hiking, travel, and camping.

Runs small :(
Wow I was so excited when I saw the berry color, I love the contrast of the black accents. I live in the PNW and was looking for a synthetic puffy that insulates when wet that I could take hiking. My package got lost in the mail for about 2 weeks so I was extra excited when it showed up on my doorstep. I love the extra dry feel of this type of synthetic insulation, I feel like it does a great job when it’s cold and humid. The color is beautiful in person, nice pockets, seems durable. Anyway tried it on over a tshirt and the shoulders and upper arms were way too tight, it restricted my movement. I’m a size 14, 38DD, and I ordered an XL. There was no way I could layer at all, and the material doesn’t stretch. If you have a big chest or arms/shoulders proportionately I’d order a size up if that’s an option for you. It wasn’t an option for me so I returned this, but had it fit I would’ve been really stoked about this jacket. Hey MH by the way when are you gunna make some extended sizes? I love y’all but I feel like literally every other outdoor gear company does this. It’s the 90s, get with it already :)
