Why We Like The Duro 15L Backpack

Instead of dealing with our gear annoyingly jostling around on our back, we focus on setting a new trail PR with the Osprey Packs Duro 15 Hydration Pack. Doing more with less, this true vest-pack provides bounce-free stability and utilitarian comfort as we log mile after mile.

The tough nylon design of this pack holds up against encounters with narrow slot canyons and snagging branches, while the hipbelt wrap with zippered pockets not only stabilizes the ride but also keeps the essentials right at our fingertips.

Too short, hurts my back in summer

I really want this bag to work for me, and it does in the wintertime when I wear more layers, but in the summer, when I only wear a t-shirt, it injures my back. I’m 6’3” and it rides high and causes my shirts to rise up. Then the part of the bag where the reservoir hose meets the bag rubs on my exposed lower back and I’m bleeding even after a mere 5k. Not sure how to fix this, but I think the bag is simply designed too small.

So far so good. It

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far so good. It fits quite snuggly. Still experience a bit of jump while running in it, but mostly due to water bladder. I need to work on adjustments inside the bag to secure the bladder and prevent it from jumping. Overall, happy with the bag. True test coming up- 100km trail run!

I have the M/L and

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have the M/L and it's a little short for my torso (I'm 5-11); the hip belt is more of a belly belt and if I tighten it the shoulder straps (at their longest) hurt my neck after a couple of hours. the water sloshes a bit too, even with no air in the bag-- I also have a Talon and the water bag doesn't slosh in that. otherwise it seems to be great and looks like it can hold a lot of gear.

Old model far better!

I totally agree with "Disabled G." I prefer the prior model by far, which had much better storage options and a better hydration storage design. I didn't realize the design had changed when I ordered my new one. It's going back and I'll have to hunt for a better option. Osprey, you've been my go-to brand for many years, but this was a mistake. Please fix this!

Osprey please remake last model this new one is horrible

This pack Is horrible. There isn't even the same amount of storage as the old model they claim it's the same but it's nowhere near the storage capacity of the old model the new water bladder pocket zipper is horrible. It just falls down. Everything is mesh the storage pocket where the key goes is so small now it's a joke make a real pack off spray like the last model. Is this new one sucks I'll be selling this one online and looking for the old model what is wrong with osprey now are you guys cutting corners. Absolutely horrible

Perfect trail running companion

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

L/XL

I searched high and low for a pack/vest to use while trail running with my dog. Size is just right to pack bowls, food, extra layers, tools, and have plenty of water for the both of us. Hugs tight to the body in a comfortable way with minimal bounce. Durability has not been an issue. Highly recommended

My favorite pack for fast/light hiking and trail running

In purchasing the Duro 15, I wanted to find the perfect compromise between the features and capacity required for big day hikes in variable conditions (i.e., hydration, packing layers, nutrition, and safety essentials) and lightweight performance. So far, this pack stands out as my favorite I've owned, having just put it to the test with a couple of hikes in WNC. It's super comfortable and snug on my frame, adjusts nicely, and offers ample space for everything I need to carry. My only suggestion for improvement is that I expected more from the trekking pole attachment, but I actually prefer securing my collapsed poles horizontally with the strap that cinches the exterior mesh pocket.
