Love this little pack. My first hydration pack. Very well designed and made, high quality. I’ve used it with and without the hydration bag. Today I rode to the library and it was perfect for holding my phone and some small books and DVDs. Was attracted by the size and color and I have extremely pleased with it.

Great MTB backpack
I have been using Katari 7 about a year. This is a great backpack for most of MTBers and hikers. Product description itself well explains what it is for: ideal for fast rides while packing a few biking essentials. Low-profile, stable and includes a 2.5-liter. It survives abuse and multiple crashes.

Perfect Short Hike Pack
Perfect for short day hikes or runs. Easy to reach side pockets. Low profile prevents unnecessary movement. My daily go to pack for my 3-5 mile treks. It's a little pricey but it serves my purposes well.

Great size and simple single pocket. I had a hydration bag with 5 zippers and tons of pockets. Wanted something small and more simple. This bag is perfect.

Well there's this and this and...
Unbelievable what a downgrade the LT in Hydraulics LT Reservoir entails. When I got excited about Osprey stuff all the videos I watched had both the Quick Connect System and the Rigid Backer Plate included with the 2.5 L and above reservoirs, and everyone I talked to said these features used to always come standard. So where are they? As far as I can tell Osprey developed the LT reservoir simply to rip off people who bought their hydration packs. Also, I cannot believe the nightmare of cleaning these things has not been remedied in the quarter century since I had a CamelBak as a kid...denture tablets, vinegar, lemon juice, freezing, mold, buy the expensive proprietary kit with wand brushes and hanging apparatus--pathetic. As well, the magnetic bite valve attachment continually falls off because of how weak the magnet is--why on earth didn't you use rare-earth-metal magnets like neodymium? Too, there are two loops on either side of the bladder for the hose, and the pack's shoulder straps have identical loops for the hose on either side as well--so how could you not make the chest strap reversible, thus only being able to use the magnet that continuously falls off if the hose is fed through the right--as a lefty I take further offense. Forbye, the thing was leaking all over me the whole first day I used it, and you'll be remedying this soon.

First time used on a 4hr+ Gravel ride

The 2.5L reservoir is more than adequate....I filled it to like 2L and carried two water bottles. I live in the South...this was an early Oct. race..temps 67-74 during the race. The Katari7 carried needed emergency supplies also. (roomy inside but streamlined) More than adequate. I think you add 2.2lbs/L when carrying Liquid so be ready to have 4-6lbs on your back depending on how much you will be carrying. -JG

It's not worth the price
This is my first hiking/biking backpack with a water bladder and it just came in today. I haven't used it yet but it feels comfortable and light. The only problem I have with it is that it does not have little strap holders to hold and keep the loose ends of the ropes/strap in place. It's really irritating having it flop around. Also, for the bottom buckle belt, I suggest making it a choice for the consumers in which they can remove it or not because somedays you just want to feel like there's nothing there holding you back. Please add little strap holders to put away the annoying loose strings. Patagonia has it on the chest strap and I think that it was really helpful since it looks more presentable and stable.
