Cirque Lite...lots to like some things not so much
The fit is great...very comfortable. But they wear fast. Pilling us a problem.

Great all weather adventure pants
I can't speak more highly of both these pants and the jacket. Both stretchy and comfortable, and also breathable. Don't feel like I'm wearing a plastic poncho at all. And they kept me totally dry all day hiking in Peru during the rainy season.

Great, but worse than the prior generation
I own the previous generation of the Cirque Lite and I just received these. The materials feel similar to the previous generation. I typically wear 34x32 (tight fitting) or 35x32 (loose fitting) and the large were perfect. Here are the changes: 1) (negative)The back pocket is removed. I was a huge fan of the back pocket, but the stitching was prone to damage if you're descending off slab climbs and do the "butt scooch". I do miss the back pockets from the previous generation 2) (negative) less durable cuff guard. The previous generation had a tiny cuff guard section, which protected the bottom cuffs from damage by crampons. The new version has this weird anti-slip rubber. I'm not sure how this will improve durability from crampon damage because the base material is still exposed to crampons. 3) (Could be positive or negative), they removed the elastic cuff at the bottom and replaced it with a zipper. On one hand, the zipper makes the bottom cuff larger and so you can now fit the bottom cuff over a ski boot or mountaineering boot. On the other hand, I'm not a fan of bottom zippers and I prefer an elastic cuff that goes around the ankles. I loved the old elastic cuff because I could easily pull my pants legs up when I got hot, and then kept them down when I was on the summit ridge to stay warm. The dual function was great when I did climbs in the North Cascades, where you started low (where it is hot and muggy), but ended up high in the alpine above the glaciers. I don't expect the same level of versatility with these new versions. The extra zipper also makes these pants less usable for offwidth climbing where you need to calf lock, as the zipper digs into your ankles and calves. 4) (Positive) They added an integrated belt. The previous generation started sagging when I put more weight into the pants, especially when I put a lot of snacks on the thigh pocket. This generation's belt seems to make the pants overall lighter because I don't have to bring a belt. Overall, I think these pants tried to become more similar to the Cirque II, rather than its own pants. Overall, I think these pants are a step down from the previous generation. However the Cirque pants are amazing for spring and summer backcountry adventures. The side pocket is great for holding trail snacks so you can keep moving on your big and long days. The material is durable, while feeling good on your skin. They are the perfect backcountry pant for spring backcountry skiing, general mountaineering, backpacking, and scrambling. The previous generation was great for all of the above and rock climbing.

Good fit, poor longevity.
Love the fit and stretch for climbing. I find myself messing with the belt system more than other brands, but the built in elasticity is comfortable. The main reason for the low rating is the fact that the material pills badly even under light wear/washing, which is disappointing given the price of the product since it effects the look considerably. Aesthetics aside, these are great light duty pants.

Nearly perfect fatbiking pants
I picked these up for winter fatbiking. Combined with a merino base layer, they are nearly perfect. They keep the cold air at bay and breath really well, like I haven't seen from other pants. Nearly perfect. As another reviewer mentioned, after less than 10 rides, the seated area has started piling. Excellent otherwise.

Comfortable and Versatile
I've enjoyed these pants quite a bit. I've used them for hiking, climbing, ski touring, front country skiing on warm days, and as a travel pant abroad. Stretch material allows for great freedom of movement and zippered-cuffed ankles keep things nice and tapered. The material has some weather-resistance which really adds to their versatility for when the weather turns unexpectedly. Wind and light rain resistance was adequate. Breathability is great and they remain comfortable during exertion. I like the stretch quality in the waist, but would personally like to see the waistband to be a bit more structured. Not bulky enough to interfere with a harness, but a bit taller and stiffer for a secure fit. Sometimes I find the belt not secure enough to keep the pants up tight. Overall, very versatile pants that are great for a large range of activities with a comfortable fit.

Go-to Alpine/Winter/Shoulder Season Pants
The Cirque Lite are super comfortable and without skimping on mobility and functionality. The Cirque Lite flexes expertly, and the weather resistance has held up well. They would perform just as well in a yoga class as they would bouldering or scrambling up a mountain. I sometimes forget I'm wearing performance pants and lounge around the house in these. That being said, there's certainly room for improvement on these pants. The built-in belt can be finicky at times, the fit is more snug than I would expect, they have smaller than average pocket size, and there are some durability concerns. The fabric has piled around the crotch without major use. Overall, I would still highly recommend these pants, though I would say these are best for your highest performance days when you need a fast and light pair of technical pants that can repel some wind and rain along the way.

Vents
The fabric feels great. The zipper hand pockets r great. The pocket on the right leg is positioned very badly that whatever u put in it can get pinched by ur knee which is not comfortable. Im 5-10 i tried size M. There r no vents on the back of the knees.

Versatile, Functional, Comfortable
These pants have been an excellent addition to my outdoor gear. I use them for a wide range of activities, including climbing, mountaineering, and hiking, and they perform consistently well. They keep me warm, block wind effectively, and do a great job repelling moisture, making them ideal for various conditions. These pants are versatile, comfortable, and allow for great mobility, which is essential for the activities I do. My only critique is with durability. I noticed some wear starting to develop in the crotch area after only a few times wearing them. While this hasn’t impacted overall performance yet, it’s disappointing to see wear develop so quickly. I'm still hopeful they will last a fair amount of use. Despite this, the Cirque Lite Pants remain a favorite for their performance and versatility, and I would still recommend them to anyone looking for reliable softshell pants for demanding outdoor adventures!

Subpar belt
Love the pants, but would much rather prefer traditional belt loops. Or at least the ability to tighten down the belt without it going off to one side. It's quite annoying.
