The perfect UL rain jacket
The Helium is amazing - as a rain jacket. It's not a shell. When used in its use case, it's the best bang-per-ounce rain jacket you can buy. Like all waterproof layers, you have to mitigate wetting out, but the Helium is super breathable and I've found sizing up prevents wetting out.

Not waterproof
Ended up returning this product because it did not keep me dry. Took some people out on a short 2km hike in the rain, was soaking wet within minutes. The size of it is great, but works only as a wind blocker.

So lightweight
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Omg okay I'm so glad I splurged and got this for myself! I do think the new version with the pockets is worth the price but I'm on a budget so this will have to do. Impressed with how lightweight and packable this jacket is and love how it fits around my hips. Super love OR's plus size line!

I'm constantly recommending this rain jacket. It's half the weight of any jacket I've ever owned. No extra bells or whistles but I'm totally ok with that since it keeps the weight down low. Bought it for backpacking but I keep it in my daypack I carry daily in the city too.

Made to fit true to size
Works to keep you dry. Very light weight. I bought Velcro to keep the gap in the sleeves tight when I'm using trekking poles. They store in the handy chest pocket. Id like this even better with pockets for my hands. I gave it five stars for fit and function!
