Perfect for keeping my head warm during shoulder seasons
The Alpine Fleece Balaclava is warm and light in weight for my shoulder season backpacking trips. Its advantage over a more traditional wool or synthetic hat is that it stays on my head over-night while I'm sleeping. Bruce G. Houston, TX

Just what I needed for the cold snap
This balaclava fits me great (slightly snug) and definitely keeps me warm. I wear a toque over top. It is easy to pull the chin piece down if you need a break. My toque always rides up due to my thick hair and wearing this underneath it was super helpful.

Best balaclava
This balaclava does its job well. Warm, comfortable, breathable and keeps wind, ice and snow off my face. I ride the PNW and it is great on those cold days. This replaces my old alpine fleece balaclava from 2011 so they last as well.

Used it for years for skiing and staying warm in the winter
I use it everyday in the winter when I commute by bike and when I ski. It keeps me warm, unless there is a strong headwind on a ski lift, where it can be pushed into my face and get a little cold, but that's a small and rare issue. It's comfortable and keeps me warm 99% of the time. Recently while I was skiing it was heavily snowing and was extremely windy. It still did decently and kept me warm for the most part, although a small amount of snow got caked on to the neck area where it was exposed. Also, I've had it for 5+ years and it's held up strong despite daily use.

Great product, adds a ton of warmth
Super warm, great for the really cold and windy days. The face covering can be pulled down beneath the chin pretty easily. Does fog up your goggles

Fits pretty snug
The material is nice, but the fit is quite snug on the S/M and the seams feel uncomfortable on my forehead and around my jaw if I pull the balaclava down under my chin. Despite the tight fit, I still had foggy glasses so I would say it's good for wearing if you are stationary but not the best for hiking in. I wish I had sized up.
