Toasty but not Hot
Exceptional as a base layer on cooler days with a lighter jacket. I never get too warm just the perfect light brown toast.

This men’s vest is not for a boxy husky body type. The shape is big on top and narrow on the bottom. I do like that it’s light and packable.

Bought for my son-in-law for Christmas and it was a hit. You can't go wrong with Patagonia and this Medium fit him perfectly.

A welcome replacement for an old friend

I purchased this Patagonia sweater vest to replace an old Marmot down vest that's seen better years on the hiking/camping trail. I did the research to find a vest whose down has been responsibly harvested, sufficiently rated for down content , lightweight and well made with the two inner pockets, and a zipper which so far has been worry free. The price was reasonable, and the delivery from Back Country was quick. I learned the hard way many years ago that wearing adequate layers of clothing while in the wilds is essential for combating life- threatening hypothermia. This vest is a comfortable component of my mid- layering ensemble. This vest will do it's job as long as I do mine in remaining safe while in my beloved wilderness. As John Muir pit it "Going to the woods is going home. Even the grey-green color is nice.

This vest looks just as presented in pictures on website. My son said the down makes it so warm for his core, while allowing his arms to be free to move. He is a very hot natured guy, so I thought it might be too warm. So, he wears it with a long sleeve shirt and shorts! Ha! And he absolutely loves it, making me happy as I gave it for Christmas. It looks good on him, too; not too puffy.
