I bought this chest armor since I had a rib injury from a fall from snowboarding. I stand 4 ft 11 inches (59 inches) petite female. I followed the size guide which I say is accurate. I have not tried snowboarding yet but I tried it on . Its not too loose but not too tight. enough to be able to move my extremities and bend forward and backward. I still have very good range of motion. my only comment is that sleeves are too long for me. I wore it under my snowboard jacket and still able to fit in my small jacket.

I really like mine. It's not as 'burly' as POC makes it sound--you can definitely use it for everyday riding if it's below about 60 out. If you're going to wear a long-sleeve jersey anyway, might as well make it armor. This comes with a pretty beefy back protector with small perforations (removable), three flexible layers of VPD on the chest (removable), integrated shoulder pads (non-removable), and integrated elbow pads (non-removable). It's comfortable for trail riding, with the only caveat being the back protector occasionally rides up. The included cummerbund thing helps with this though (heads up--it's tucked inside the back protector pocket if you can't find yours). Sizing: I got a L/XL. I'm 5'11", 185, 43.5" chest. Fits great and the zipper makes it easy to get on. The back armor and sleeves are a little too long, but it's a minor issue. I've washed mine a couple times (in a laundry bag) with no issues. I did fall on my back once in a slow-speed crash, and was glad I was wearing this. I won't ride without back armor again unless it's just too hot. The crash did punch a small hole in the mesh carrier, but I can't ding POC for that. You need all the ventilation you can get. Overall, it's a great setup and makes you a more confident rider willing to push it a bit harder. For me, that's worth it. Aside--avoid the POC VPD tee and get this. There is no advantage to the tee.

Are the elbow pads in the jacket the same size and level of protection as if I purchased the 2.0 elbow pads by themselves?
