Why We Like The Rab Downpour Eco Pant
No one likes to get soaked from the inside out, so we like the ventilated and highly breathable Downpour Eco Pants from Rab. These rain pants feature a high breathability rating and zippered thigh vents that dump any heat and moisture that builds up as we pick up our pace or charge uphill to the saddle or summit. The Eco version is also eco-friendly—with a fluorocarbon-free DWR coating and recycled polyester fabric that potentially can be recycled again at the end of its life.

Light weight, comfortable to wear; fabric is soft to the touch; very effective keeping cold, heavy fog away from body. Wish there were lighter colors beside black.

Not a stretchy as I hoped but great. Really waterproof, nice and light. I prefer longer zips as knee length just a bit tight for wellies.

Good sturdy waterproof trousers. Problem
Good sturdy waterproof trousers. Problem is they want you to review the product before you have able to wear them for a long period of time, would like to see what their like after 6 months of walking and how well the material lasts.

Very waterproof packable trousers
Good quality, lightweight packable waterproof trousers. Fantastic waterproofness, but not the most breathable thing to wear. Fine as over trousers for downpours and very windy weather but not so good as a warmer all-day just-in-case layer (not really what these are designed for, look to some of the other options). Zips are long enough to get over boots with a popper at the bottom, but that’s about it for features. No pockets or access to pockets underneath so you need to stick your hand in the top of the trousers to fish anything you might need of pockets below. But the minimal feature set keeps these lightweight and waterproof and that’s what they’re for. Medium a good fit for me at 6’2, 32” waist.

Really nice pair of trousers.
Really nice pair of trousers. Very lightweight but still keep the water out. Breatheable when it gets a bit warm. I like that they are made from recycled material. Would highly recommend to anyone.
