This jacket has been thru all 4 seasons with me. Ive brought it everywhere on the mountains, on runs and snowboarding. for those whose thermoregulation is a bit erratic, this jacket provides reliability. if you venture outdoors you need this.

This is lighter than a hoodie mid layer and I can wear it either as an outer layer when it’s warm or as a mid layer when it’s cold. It packs down to nothing.

I love the feel and fit of this jacket! The only flaw is that the inside zippered pocket lies above the collar line of the shirts I wear underneath, so it rubbed against my skin and was annoying.

The ratio of lightness to

The ratio of lightness to warmth on this jacket is insane! I love the design and fabric. I wish you did a perfectly black one too though. I also bought the Xenair vest to combine with the jacket for incredible warmth. The vest in size 12 and the jacket in a size 14 for a looser fit that allows layering. The sizing around the body & bust is spot on with these jackets, (I’m a 34DD for reference), whilst the difference in length between a 12 and a 14 in body and arms is a tad too much for me. But it’s ok, because the elasticised hem allows to fit the jacket higher up the hips. All in all, thank you for amazing quality Rab. You have a new customer for sure.

Best washable jacket ever

I just love this jacket. It is so light and yet so warm. I wear mine for cycling. On its own it is perfect, and in the rain, I wear a RAB shell on top. Last week I spent two hours at a demo and though the temp was only about 6 degrees, I was toasty warm. I already have a RAB Electron down jacket, but it gets sweaty on a bike, and it is such a hassle to get it cleaned. I am planning to visit Lapland early next year and discovered my Xenair jacket will easily fit under the Electron one, so I am all set! Beautiful Jade green colour too. I am smitten.

Great high intensity activity jacket

I also have the Xenair Alpine jacket but I use this 'light' version when trail running. Like the Xenair Alpine, I find the 'light' version provides a comfortable fit without restricting movement. For me, it is the perfect jacket when trail running and travelling light is important (more so than when I go hiking). While it unsurprisingly provides less warmth than the Xenair Alpine, that's not a problem when I'm running - out it comes during descends or on the flat and away it goes (easily) into it's left pocket when not needed.
