Great binding, Shadow fit is a game changer
With every other binding on the market having a solid heel cup I was skeptical about shadow fit technology. I was blown away by how much this binding allows you to really use your own bio mechanics. When you initiate a turn to maximise the board performance you need to apply pressure on the out side of the foot. Some people call this knee steering, and when you finish a turn you do the same on the back foot. Shadow fit removes the barrier that a traditional solid heel cup creates. The Kevlar heel cup system allows the ankle/foot to naturally roll into a strong position to drive in and out of turns. The ankle movement is not longer limited by a traditional rigid heel cup. The other surprise is is when you use lateral movement utilising the heel cup, thing carving especially heel side edge carves. When you apply pressure to the high back you get all the power transfer you need to maintain a strong edge hold. Another key component of a good binding is board feel. The Salomon bindings give an unmatched level of board feel underfoot while making sure vibrations are minimal meaning you can ride all day without the dreaded foot pain.

Comfortable but cheaply made
I hade those bindings for the third season. When buying them I tought it would last a while since it's quite exepensive but some plastic parts a breaking and might make stance adjustement impossible if it keep on falling appart like that. that's unfortunate.

So comfortable
This is my first Salomon binding and I’ve been snowboarding for 30 years. I was skeptical but I was wrong. They’re so comfortable to ride around all day and don’t sacrifice any response. No foot fatigue or crush from the top strap and the shadow flex rear hoop is wild to feel in person.

Absolutely Stellar Binding. Beware of Sizing
Got these on a Super 8 Pro and it is a great combination. The bindings are stiff and responsive, but I believe because of the Kevlar quick wire tech, are also extremely comfortable. Only thing to watch for is the recommended sizing says M or L will fit 10-10.5. That is not true, I have tried everything to fit my boot, but the toe piece keeps sliding off /: if you have a 10.5 or smaller go with the medium!
