Great boots for warmth and grip
When you don't know when trying them on the quest 4 are lovely and warm and have lots of grip in all directions they feel heavy but they aren't for the purpose of the boot so the are mid range walking boots excellent for my first mid range walking boot

QUEST 4 GORE-TEX
My husband just had an ankle operation. As a Christmas surprise, I looked for a good-fitting boot that would take rough terrain and inclement weather, yet was lighter weight and comfortable. The Quest 4 Gor-Tex seems to provide all

Great Hiking Boot
This is my second pair of Quest 4 boots, they are comfortable right out of the box, maybe wear a day just doing normal day to day activity to get them conformed to your feet, then hit the trails!

Glue coming apart after six months
I really wanted to like these boots because I spent way too much money on a hiking boot. I hike in true elevation (6000-12000 feet) and the first problem I had was these boots giving me gnarly blisters. So I thought ok, “break in period”, well it’s been six months and many miles of constant use and still same thing as day one. I’ve learned the limit is about 3 miles a day then the blisters start. The second problem is that the toes are starting to fall apart already. SO disappointing that companies can’t figure out a good glue for these cheaply made boots. I’ve learned that if you want a truly good boot, it has to be old school stitched because glue will fall apart no matter how expensive the boot is. I have a pair of red wings that refuse to quit after almost ten years of use. That is all I’ll be purchasing from now on.

The best outdoor boot I have ever worn
Surprisingly light for a large and sturdy outdoor boot, incredibly comfortable from the minute you put them on, with an effective lacing system. Oh, and waterproof too. No blisters ever, and in my experience no need to “wear in”. Very supportive, the best boots! I have wide ish feet so do try them on.

Looking at purchasing pair #4 but not sure
Worn through 3 pairs as daily drivers for hikes and jobsite trailer duty. Technically the tongue strap placement is an improvement. 4d chassis is still a must, so I don’t want other options with Salomon. I’m very hesitant on #4 because the latest rubber toe piece design ripped way too fast as compared to rips only after boot was past its duty cycle. Can’t help but be reminded of the ripped rubber toe. Buy again $$$ same result vs a different designed competitors boot. Love the comfort, dislike the length of life for the cost. TBD…

I recently got my new replacement gtx quest 4
My new boots really got put to the test in the PNW. Rained for four straight days while hiking, feet stayed nice and dry in the quest 4 gtx. Extremely happy

Best boots I have ever worn.
I have now bought 3 pairs of these. They are the best for hiking and provide the most durable support and flexibility a boot could have.

short lasting comfort
Used a brand new pair of quests starting beginning of August, about 25 days collectively of hunting, and about early november the shoes were fully worn out. Sole peeling off on multiple gashes, rubber/leather joints coming apart. I will say they were comfortable from the start, but did not make it all the way through one season. Will continue the search for a better shoe elsewhere..
