Why We Like The Saucony Guide 17 Running Shoe
Stable and highly cushioned, the Saucony Guide 17 Running Shoe provides comfort and support for our runs, walks, and everyday life. The engineered synthetic mesh keeps things light on our feet while Saucony's proprietary PWRRUN foam weighs in lighter than conventional EVA foam with plenty of bounce and cushy comfort. The Guide also adds a stability platform to support overpronators and help us run safely and comfortably. The new Guide 17 includes several updates, including a wider base, higher sidewalls, and lower 6mm drop.

I wish I loved them…
I bought this pair of Saucony Guide 17 to replace my Asics Kayano 28. I read that Saucony is more breathable and stable. Unfortunately for me, it is not the case. Since I started using Saucony my knee pain restarted and I don’t find them breathable at all.

Love Guides but this pair has left blisters
I’ve worn Saucony Guides for last 15 years plus in running several half and 5 full marathons with no issues. Bought the 17’s in November and wore them once and got a blister on left inside heel but was wearing new type of socks so blamed it on the socks. Haven’t worn them since until yesterday. This time I wore my regular running socks and again wore a blister on left inside heel after only a 5 mile walk. I have no issues with my other running shoes. It’s just the left shoe, no issue with the right. So only worn twice and blister on left foot each time.

Not stability
Needed new running shoes and I’ve worn the guide for 5 years. They were always amazing, cured my shin splints and allowed me to get back into running. After hurting my ankle I bought a new pair. Went to the doctor and was informed that my shoes were not stability. Doctor picked them up and bent them in half, a true stability doesn’t do that. Would not recommend buying if you’re a stability wearer.

My back doesn’t hurt when wearing these shoes. They.are good all day. Don’t know about running as I no longer do it. Much better than the Guide 18 in the rocking shoe category. Still trying to find size 9 in the Guide 17.

Just Okay
This was my first Saucony purchase. I bought the shoe because I needed stability. The shoes are okay, but there was definitely a design flaw where the tongues on the shoes were not the same length. Shoe laces were not the same length. Quality control is definitely lacking. I also believe this shoe is huge for a size 9. Can't return because I have worn them. The first time I wore them on my walk, they made my legs and body tired. Went for another walk and they do feel better but not sure if I would purchase again. Hopefully, they will feel better as time goes on.

Great Shoes
These shoes were a lifesaver for me. I was having issues with my toes as I started to run longer distances. Running Room suggested I try these and size up a bit and I haven’t had issues since. Lots of room in the toe box and great support and comfort. Bought two more pairs because I love them so much. Highly recommend!

Comfortable shoe
Very comfortable shoe - great arch support and cushioning. I use mine for running and I have had shoes that were too soft, these are comfortable. Not so squishy that I can’t run, just soft enough to feel great even after putting in a few miles. Looking forward to buying a second pair.
