Warm but a bit snug. Should buy a size larger than you usually wear for the best fit.

Difficult to understand the purpose of this product

Difficult review because I am not sure my expectations matched this product. I thought these would be like all the other tights / shorts I have ordered before (North Face is the best of the variety I use - Lululemon, Athleta, Craft, Helly Hansen.) But, these aren't really like the other tights I own. They are very thin, but also minimal stretch. So they aren't providing much in the way of warmth and they don't move well. They bag at the knees and calves. I wore them, so I am going to keep them - but I think their only purpose might be spring skiing. They have enough give for warm weather skiing - but definitely not for yoga.

I wore these to walk to the grocery store with nothing over them to see if they could keep my legs warm at 29°F & they were excellent! I had the top on too under a fleece jacket. Super warm. I plan to race walk along the lakefront in Chicago & the freezing temperatures along with the harsh winds & snow would require something heavy duty! LoL! They are light, but warm. I don't think you will be disappointed with these. I didn't find the fabric to be rough at all as some reviewers had posted. Also, I have a medium-sized behind which did have them drop down a little in the back! What can I say?

I would buy this product again

Comfortable every day legging wear. Great material to work out in or just to wear daily!

It's a no from me

The material is not giving at all. I'm a true medium in all NF products, but these did not fit waist wise, length wise, or around my leg wise. I am 5'7 and the leggings ended a bit above my ankles and did not fit tight to skin. I'm not sure how these would be used for base layers during activities as they're stiffish. I had a friend, who's also a medium, try them on to validate and they did not fit her as well. As a loyal NF buyer, these are not it. It's not just the sizing, it's the material/stretch. A large wouldn't even do it. Returning.

I wear a size 16 which is a xl I had to order a size up xxl runs small love fabric and comfortable
