Amazing sleeping pad.

Still not sure about this

There is non doubt that the pad is comfortable, once it's inflated. The problem I have is how long it takes to get inflated. I think "Self-Inflating" for this pad is a stretch, either that or I understand that differently. If I open the valve and let it sit, after about 6 minutes it is partially inflated. If I hook up the NeoAir pump, it gets mostly inflated after another 4 minutes or so, then it takes about 10-15 good breaths to get it fully inflated. That's a lot of effort for a sleeping pad, so I'm just not sure if it's worth it or should I send this thing back and get another brand that inflates properly.

I’ve had these pads for a little over 3 years, using maybe a total of 60 nights. I’d say half of the nights have been on the cold hard ground because of micro holes that have developed. On both of the pads I have, they each individually have about 20 pin holes that have been sealed. It’s been a constant battle to use. When they don’t have holes, they are very comfortable, but wow are these things not durable

Very pleased

I am a 60-year-old man in excellent physical condition, but require some cushion when I sleep on the ground after a day of backcountry backpacking. I cut back on other items in my backpack to afford the comfort of my Therma rest pad. It never fails and gives me a great night sleep and keep me warm and comfortable. It also rolls down to a nice size that fits in my 65 L backpack just right. I recommend it highly to anyone who wants to sleep good at night out in the backcountry. Happy trails.

Hoping to return this. It it too thin on either side.

The thermarest is too thin on either side so your elbows hit the ground. I love thermarest and hope we can get the right one. Can customer service help me return this? Please reach out.

At 73 yo, I didn’t

At 73 yo, I didn’t expect a great nights sleep. I’m pleased to say I was wrong. An excellent product!

Happy sleeper

I own 2 of these mattresses buying the first 10 years ago and the second a couple of years ago. I find I sleep better on this mattress than my normal bed at home. The insulation value of the mat keeps the cold ground away. While they haven't been used much recently I pulled them both out of storage for planned camping this summer and they still work and look like new. They are a very good investment in comfort.

I bought this to replace

I bought this to replace the earlier model but this one is not the same. The quality is terrible. I would not recommend this product.
