Why We Like The Base 4.0 Legging
In extreme cold, these heavy baselayer leggings keep us cozy, even while we're inactive. The Base 4.0 Legging is made for low activity levels, so we love wearing them to stay warm while cold-weather camping, early morning ice fishing, and bunny hill skiing.

Not a legging
They are cut like a boot cut pant but with a tight ankle. There’s about 6 inches of extra fabric around the calf so it’s impossible to layer under other fitted pants. I loved my old 4.0. But will absolutely be returning this pair

Keeps her warm!
Got this for my daughter, she is a teacher. Keeps her warm through her sedentary day. We've tried other products with little success. The 4.0 is perfect.

The actual Fit is not like the Photo
I always like UA leggings to keep me warm in the winter. However, these "leggings" are not like the leggings I have purchased in the past. These are not form fitting "leggings" it is a loose fit and wider around the ankles. I am overall disappointed with my purchase. I will be doing a return.

Awesome thermal protection!!!
These tights work great as a base layer. Out hiking in 6* F weather. Work great under hiking pants. I wish they were a little longer. I’m 6ft tall and I have to stretch them out of the wash. Otherwise perfect.

Da Bomb
Absolutely the best base layer I've ever worn. I'm always cold. I can sit in a 69-degree house and not freeze but not sweat when it’s 74 degrees either. Outdoors at 20 degrees, I was toasty warm.

Very poor fit
I got these to replace an old pair of the same style (base 4.0). On the positive, the waist is much higher than the older style, but everything else about them is horrible. They’re super long and from the knee down they’re baggy. These aren’t leggings at all. They also are cut overall much larger than my old pair- they fit almost an entire size bigger.

I plan to use them as a base layer for skiing under ski pants. Are the seams flat? Would 4.0 or 3.0 be better for base layer?

Are these currently leggings alll the way to the ankle fit, or boot cut? Some older reviews mention them being bootcut. Im hoping they are not because I want to wear them under jeans for extra warmth.

Would the 4.0 be comfortable for me to walk around in? If I am going to a cold tourist place, where I am moving around whole day? I don’t like to wear baggy insulated pants on a holiday but thought of having this option only if they are not uncomfortable.

Would the 4.0 work well for down hill skiing? Standing in lift lines and riding the lift fit the little to no activity, so maybe? Also, is the leg wide enough to sit at the top of the boot? I don’t like pants in the boot.

I’m curious, about how much do these weigh? (Size L if anyone knows)
