Convenience and Sticky!
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
These skins have great grip and I love how quick and easy the clip system is. Bonus points for being able to apply both skins while the board is still together! I didn't know this was a feature I wanted but now that it is I love it! Only complaint is the glue is so sticky that I have trouble pulling the skins apart from each other. Definitely recommend the quarter fold technique to make it easier.

Small piece falls off
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
These skins are fine but the small silver clip at the top falls out so easily. Lost both in the snow on my first tour and Weston does not sell the replacement part. Horrible design.

Best skins for a Weston Split or skis
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Specifically made for Weston splitboards and also made by Pomoca, so you know these are some really good quality skins for your Weston Split, has a great combination of grip and glide. Each skin is precut to fit perfectly onto certain size splitboards, keep in mind as well that these skins are only compatible with 22/23 Weston gear and beyond. Also email me if you have any questions on this, happy to help out and get you the correct size for your Weston split.

Love the board interface!

These skins are essentially the Pomoca Climb 2.0s, and they're great! The interface with Weston boards is amazing, and makes transitioning and putting on your skins a breeze.

Work Great!
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I picked up a Japow board a few seasons ago before Weston had released these precut skins and was challenged to make the tail clips work well. Now I have no issue with the tail clip and it makes getting them on and off a breeze. I've traditionally used voile and pomoca skins, while voile skins do seem to last near forever, they don't have great glide and are by no means light. I've put about 50 days so far on the weston branded pomoca skins and they are holding up great!

Minimalist perfection
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
First off they look great! but more importantly they have the perfect ratios of traction to glide. the simple connection interface makes for a much less bulky skin to store for the ride down and cuts a lot of weight! I have used many different skins over the years and these are my favourite! would definitely recommend!

If you have a Weston, these are the only skins you should be rocking. It makes life so easy. Transitions are way smoother with the simple attachments. You can leave the skins on the whole way through your transition as well, which I like as a little added security to slow my board down if it gets knocked over. With the Z-Hook attachment, you have less pieces to break as well, and its a lighter overall attachment system vs. the loop systems that other brands use. Highly recommend, especially if you are on a more unique shape like the Weston Hatchet or Japow. Backcountry doesn't have the link to their skin fitment, but make sure you grab the right one for your board - https://westonbackcountry.com/products/weston-approach-splitboard-skin

Been on G3 skins for 5+ years and didn’t wanna switch it up, But after seeing and using this attachment system I am thoroughly impressed. I am very rough on my skins with over 60days of multiple use tours and I couldn’t be happier. My glue has been holding up very well, easy to clean/pick debris off of em, color ways rad, great traction on the uphill and just enough glide on the flats and downhill to not make you hate life. Also I love being able to rip my skins off while in split mode for small downhill descents and with the new nose clip, it makes it effortless with some practice. Not having to cut skins and worry about how to attach them to odd shaped boards is so nice for us users. And come spring, I didn’t use a ton of skin wax for glopping issues which is so nice!

The Pomoca skins are hands down the best on the market, I have used so many different skins over the years. So when I saw that Weston partnered with Pomoca to make a proprietary skin for their boards and skis I was stoked! It's a super simple and durable design with I love. If you are riding the Japow or Hatchet split don't even think about buying a different skin, you will hate life. These are designed specifically to work with those non-conventional shapes and its perfect. Buying a precut skin is the best, no hassell or stress of cutting your own and ruining your brand new skins. My only complaint is that after 40-50 days on these skins the glue started coming off on the bottom of my board. Could be user error, I have never been the best at taking care of gear. I have never found a skin that doesn't have issues, these are going to be the skins I continue using.
