Whether we're taking the pup for their nightly walk, roaming around town, or exploring high up in the mountains, staying warm is a top priority, so we built the Backcountry Stansbury ALLIED Down Parka to ensure we stay warm during every winter endeavor. This full-length puffer parka features a fully recycled construction and ethically sourced ALLIED goose down, keeping our bodies warm and minds at ease. We added an oversized, adjustable hood to protect our heads from falling snow and blowing winds, an integrated belt for added styling options, and plenty of pocket space to keep our hands warm and essentials within reach.

Stylish & great length, not super thick

This coat arrived super fast - within 36 hours - which while I didn't need it immediately, I definitely appreciated. I bought this coat to supplement my existing parka collection which includes one down to the hip and one down to the knee. This one goes to mid-calf and as I'm moving to Chicago I wanted a coat that was super long but without hindering my stride (like ankle length coats which can be awkward in that regard). The ONE THING I wish is that this coat was a bit more insulated -- just a thin layer of fleece lining on the interior (they have some around the collar, at the ends of the sleeves I think, and in the pockets) would make a big difference. I tested it out in 20 degree weather by a lake, and it was decently warm for the price but I'll have to really layer my clothing under it, versus if it had a fleece lining which I think would've made it that much more effective at keeping out cold that gets through the down. For sizing: I'm 5'5" and 135lbs, with long limbs for my height, and bought a small which is roomy enough for thick clothing underneath but without looking bulky. I love the belt feature so you keep a bit of your waist when the coat is fastened, and I also really like the zig-zag seam pattern that is used across the coat. It definitely adds a level of interest, as opposed to just straight seams. Overall, I was aiming for length and style and feel like I got that in this coat and at a great price point.
