Just received mine. Just in time for the upcoming cold weather. I was pleasantly surprised on how lightweight it is. It is quite warm and I feel it will be perfect for my needs.

I have been adding Fjallraven products to my closet since the summer and have been very impressed with the quality of the clothing. The jacket showed up twp days before I left for Iceland and I put it through it's paces and can report it's a quality outerwear piece and up to the task.

Does good job used as intended
Its a really good "förstärkningsjacka" as we call it. Its ofcourse intended as a layer for example under a shell jacket. I use it also stand alone with base layer and thin vest under in milder weather. For a "stand alone" jacket I use either Keb Touring Down or Keb Expedion.

Looked Great but a bit Small For me

Loved the look and feel of this jacket and was hoping to use as a mid layer and have as an option milder MN winter days. I'm 6'3" and about 260 and bought an XXL. Just felt too tight through the arms and chest. Would have loved to keep it but ended up sending it back in. Will watch hoping they come out with a 3XL!

Not For Cold Weather
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer

- Medium
I bought this jacket for a trip to the Baltic States. The weather was above freezing but windy, great and misty most of the trip. The coldest day was blustery just above freezing. The jacket provided little warmth and no protection from the wind. I have other Fjallraven products and this is the only one I'm not happy with. I ordered a medium and it felt closer to a large.

I really like this jacket. I’ve had a Patagonia nano puff coat for 6-7 years and was in need upgrade. Very happy with my purchase! This jacket is very warm and I love the material. Super soft. Great for everyday use. I typically wear a medium but purchased a large so I could wear sweatshirts underneath if needed. Size fits well. I would purchase this jacket again.

Don’t go out in the cold!
I thought it was me, when I wore this jacket with 2 layers beneath and I was cold in 5degrees C but it seems others feel the same way. I agree with the other reviewers that it looks good and is a very good fit, but I have been buying Fjallraven for 24 years and I expect to be kept warm in a jacket called “Expedition”. For an expedition to the shops on a mild autumn day it’s fine, but I expect better from Fjallraven.

Nice Coat but Fits Odd
Real nice jacket. Very comfortable and feels warm and durable. The high neck when zipped up gives a lot of protection. Only thing is I may have to send it back due to the fit. The arms are very long. They bunch up at the elbow when worn normally. This would be my 5th jacket from Fjallraven and a medium always fit perfectly but not this one for some reason.

Perfect balance
I live in the US southeast and the sweater parka's from the typical name brands work just fine for the winter months here. However, I do travel west to snow ski each year and the sweater parka is just a little too light for me for the go to dinner / walk around & shop in ski town temperatures in the US western mountains. Of course for my evening activities, I could wear my on the mountain ski jacket but I'm vain and would rather be more subtle with my evening wear from what I wear on the mountain. :-) This Expedition Pack Down Hoodie is the perfect balance of what I was looking for! I did not want to spend / did not need the features and bulk of hyper warm parka. I wanted an easy plane travel jacket and something a bit more substantial than those sweater parkas I mentioned above. Did I mention vanity? I wanted a jacket to look cool. I found this sweet spot in the Expedition Pack Down Hoodie. It is more substantial than the sweater parkas I mentioned above. Both in down insulation and also the hood addition for those hopeful nights it is snowing at dinner which means I have to get up early for first tracks. Keeps me warmer on those evening nights without the expense of expedition gear. It looks cool. I went with navy but regardless of the base color, I really love the subtley of the yellow in the hood pulls. I also love the logo of Fjallraven. Not gonna lie, I didn't know the Fjallraven brand until I stumbled upon the brand in a store, started my internet research, which resulted in my purchase. This jacket will be my "this is what I wear and/or stuff into my backpack for my flight from the southeast to the moutains, will be my go to dinner/walk/shop around the ski mountain town nights, wear for my depressing flight home." And look cool the entire trip too!

Top Jacket
Superb piece from Fjallraven used recently on a trip to Tromso Norway. Jacket was worn as part of a layering system during snow storms and dog sledding and I didn’t feel the cold once with temps down to -10. Great for expedition or chilling around town. Stuffs away nicely to use as a pillow. Highly recommend ❄️
